Mr. Patrick Choy Kwok Hung

Mr. Patrick Choy Kwok Hung had worked as the Senior Vice President of Motorola Incorporation for quite a long period of time and he had strived for developing various investment projects in Asian Pacific region for many years. As of today, Motorola has accumulatively invested over US$4 billions in Tianjin and the total sales volume in China already exceeded US$ 10 Billions; in fact, Mr. Choy has played very active role in both regional political and business arenas. Since 2003, after his leaving of Motorola, he is still taking prominent roles in different business corporations and political organizations:

In 2003, Mr. Choy became the first regional business executive who was appointed as the Member of National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and the Standing Committee Member of Tianjin. In fact, he was just appointed as the Member of National Committee again in February 2008. Through the years, he has been actively taking part in formulating a wide range of tactical development strategies, regarding the development plans for the Pearl River and Changjiang River delta, development of new economic zone in Bohai Sea, combined taxation system for business entities, strategic measures to promote capital investments from foreign companies and some other suggestions in promoting energy efficiency and conservation in China.

On top of that, Mr. Choy also completely devoted himself to promoting his personal interest Bridge. He is actively promoting Bridge by serving the posts of Vice President of ‘International Mind Sports Association” and “World Bridge Federation” and he personally taking part in different international Bridge game competitions. Mr. Choy’s outstanding performance has been further affirmed by his prizes and awards from different Bridge competitions. In 1981, Mr. Choy, as the Chairman of Hong Kong Bridge Federation, successfully organized the first international Bridge tournament which allowing players from Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong to meet and exchange. Thanks to his contribution, Chinese government would hold the 1st International Mind Sports Intellympics in Beijing. The event would cover five major games including Bridge, Chess, GO, Draught and Chinese Chess and it would be the first of its kind held in China – over 3000 mind game players from 250 countries and regions would gather in the same hall from 3rd October to 18th October 2008.

Mr. Choy is also keen to promote the traditional Chinese culture. He has received a number of prizes and golden metals from both Asian and international stamp collecting competitions since 2003. He has tried to promote the Chinese culture by bringing the “Chinese Stamps” into the global stamp market. Mr. Choy's new book "China Silver Yuan Stamps" had won golden prize in "China 2009 World Stamp Exhibition" at Luoyang.
